West Bloomfield Township lists Halloween trick-or-treat hours as 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31, according to the township’s website.
Halloween falls Saturday this year, the first time since 2020. The township’s posted hours do not specify a year.
Families also have several organized Halloween activities to choose from before the holiday, although WB Parks’ Trick-or-Treat Trail is already sold out.
Halloween Storybook Stroll at the library
The West Bloomfield Township Public Library hosts a Halloween Storybook Stroll Friday, Oct. 23, at its Main Branch, 4600 Walnut Lake Road.
Families can start at the Storytime Terrace between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., reading a book and collecting treats along the Storybook Trail. Walkers must finish by 6 p.m. to collect all treats, which are available while supplies last.
Costumes are welcome. The program is for ages 1 to 10, and each participating child must be registered. Registration closes at 4 p.m. Oct. 23.
Registration is limited to residential and student cardholders. Non-cardholders may join a pending waitlist and should confirm their status with library staff.
Adults must accompany children. The trail is unpaved and includes a hill. Inclement weather may result in cancellation or changes.
Marshbank Park Trick-or-Treat Trail: Sold out
WB Parks’ annual Trick-or-Treat Trail, presented by T-Fiber, takes place Sunday, Oct. 25, at Marshbank Park, 2805 Hiller Road.
The event has four registered entry times beginning at 3 p.m. Children collect goodies from costumed characters, businesses and community organizations. Each registered child receives a treat bag and cider-and-donut voucher.
The event is sold out, and no on-site registration will be available.
HallowGlow at TreeRunner Adventure Park
TreeRunner Adventure Park, 6200 Drake Road, offers HallowGlow nighttime climbing and ziplining Oct. 23–25 and Oct. 30–31.
The standard aerial park begins at age 6. Junior HallowGlow serves ages 4 to 7.
Boo Bounce, a suspended-net playground with Halloween decorations, music and take-home candy, welcomes children ages 4 and older on the same dates.
HallowGolf mini golf is available during HallowGlow without advance reservations.
TreeRunner recommends booking HallowGlow and Boo Bounce ahead. Available start times vary by date. Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are required, and weather can affect operations.
