Stoli’s, a European-inspired restaurant, plans to open this fall at 6203 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield Township, in the former Don Juan Mexican Restaurant space.

Prime Concepts Detroit, the West Bloomfield-based hospitality group behind Prime29 Steakhouse and Aurora Italiana, announced the project in a news release covered by WhatNow on Oct. 13. No firm opening date has been announced.

The restaurant is named for Stolion “Stoli” Liti, Prime Concepts’ managing partner and director of operations. Liti and Joe Barbat, CEO and chairman of Barbat Holdings and Prime Concepts Detroit, developed the concept together.

“I’ve been trying to convince Stoli to do this for years,” Barbat said, according to DBusiness. “He’s the most naturally gifted hospitality professional I’ve ever worked with.”

The menu draws on Italian, French and Spanish influences. Planned dishes include a double smash cheeseburger, carbonara and a mortadella sandwich with mornay sauce. The company says the kitchen will use organic poultry and grass-fed beef, avoid seed oils and offer halal options, according to DBusiness.

The dining room will seat about 80 guests, with a bar, lounge, pool tables and dartboards. A 50-seat seasonal patio is also planned, along with weekly trivia nights and pool leagues, the Detroit Free Press reported.

Stoli’s plans to serve lunch and dinner seven days a week, with brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. On Friday and Saturday nights, a late-night dine-in and to-go menu called XIII Hour will run from 10:30 p.m. until close, featuring burgers, fries and French dip with bar service, according to DBusiness.

The location sits in the Orchard Mall Shopping Center, north of West Maple Road and just south of Aurora Italiana. La Marsa and Matari Coffee also operate in the center, according to WhatNow.

Prime Concepts began with Prime29 Steakhouse in 2012, according to its company history. Its current website lists Stoli’s Tavern as coming soon.

Opening-date and reservation details are expected to be announced later.
