Orchard Lake St. Mary’s cross country runners recorded 15 course personal bests at the Catholic High School League championship Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Kensington Metropark.

Nine runners also posted their fastest times ever, the school’s athletics department reported.

The school described the course as hilly and difficult, highlighting the personal improvements among its runners.

The meet was listed as the CHSL Bishop Championships on Athletic.net.

The performances come ahead of the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s postseason. Lower Peninsula regional races are scheduled for Oct. 30-31, with the finals Nov. 7 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, according to the MHSAA schedule.
