Residents at Jewish Senior Life’s West Bloomfield campus can receive physical, occupational and speech therapy without leaving the grounds through a partnership with Powerback Rehabilitation.

The senior living provider offers on-site outpatient therapy and wellness programming through Powerback, according to JSL’s website. Services include physical therapy for mobility, balance and pain management; occupational therapy for daily living skills such as dressing and bathing; and speech therapy for language, cognition and swallowing.

Powerback also provides Age in Motion wellness programming, which includes exercise classes, wellness resources and personalized progress tracking.

Hechtman Apartments’ October activity calendar lists four “Stretch & Relax w/ Powerback” sessions and one “Age in Motion w/ Powerback” session.

The West Bloomfield campus includes nearly 400 independent living residences at Hechtman and Meer apartments. Each community has 198 residences, according to JSL’s independent living page.

Hechtman offers HUD-subsidized and market-rate apartments for adults 62 and older, as well as younger residents who require an accessible unit. Meer offers one- and two-bedroom residences for adults 62 and older.

JSL also operates Fleischman Residence, which provides assisted living and memory care, on the same campus at 6710 W. Maple Road.

Powerback, a national rehabilitation therapy provider, says on its website that it operates in more than 1,200 locations.

JSL is hosting an open house Sunday, Nov. 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its West Bloomfield campus. Visitors can tour residences, meet staff and learn about independent living, assisted living and memory care. To register, call 248-592-5075 or use the form on JSL’s website.
